Comments: tuff choice on that 5th spot, but I believe Obumonu brings more to the table than Taylor he can play all 3 positions and is a solid special teams guy, and if the team decides to keep 6 Taylor will be that 6th guy.

Comments: I think the cuts are easy here so to comment on the guys that stay, the starters from L-R Locklear, Simms, Vallos, Unger, Willis for opening day with Big Walt still recovering when Walt comes back I think the starters will be from L-R Jones, Simms, Vallos, Locklear, Willis. I really like Vallos at center he reminds me of Tobeck, a little undersized and at times will have troble pushing bigger DT’s but seems to be able to stand his ground, I like Kyle Williams size, footwork and initial push this decision for me is based more on last season than what he has done this year yet.

I could live with a 3rd rounder for Branch and keepng OBO and Taylor, Housh, Buttler and Carlson are going to be our top 3 with Nasty Nate not far off anyways.
ReplyDeleteI've really been more focused on C team high school football lately (South is 5-0) having upended Eagle River on their home sunny turf last night 49-8). Louis Page, recently converted to QB threw for 7-7, a TD, 2-point conversion, 40 yards rushing on one play (South's offense is like 1963 Oklahoma),and had an intercept from his safety position.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Hawks go - they have to prove it to me. I was in Detroit when they got screwed. He haven't been back, but the ass hole Steelers have. The Hawks have to be too good and rise above a crooked league. When I see evidence that they are doing that - then I'll value them on the same level of interest as I do the Cook Inlet Confernce C League football.
